Dental Implants

A dental implant is a medical product that is surgically placed in the jawbone or skull bones to support dental prostheses such as crowns, bridges, removable dental prostheses, facial prostheses, or to use as a fixed support in orthodontic treatments.

How is a Dental Implant Applied?

Let's say we've extracted a tooth, and we're going to place an implant in the extracted place. As soon as the tooth is extracted, the implant can be easily placed in the extracted tooth cavity. Because the slot where the implant will be placed is ready. It doesn't matter if it's a front tooth or a back tooth. If the socket of the extracted tooth is smooth, it is possible and very easy to place the implant there.

Let's say the implant will be placed in place of a previously extracted tooth, then it is necessary to open a slot for the implant in that area. There is a ready set of implants for this. First, the slot is prepared from thin to thick with very small burs that pierce the bone. and the implant is placed. In the meantime, the gum can be removed by cutting. It can also be done visually, with the bone fully exposed. Or, a small hole is made, which we call a closed operation, and an implant is placed through that hole and it can be done without stitches. As a result, we can say that applying the implant is a simple process.
